Background and Challenge

Within GDL’s business area of Transport and Logistics, pinDeliver is currently utilized in the distribution segment in Östergötland. Many of GDL’s customers now require “track and trace” traceability for their transports, prompting GDL to search for a system that could be easily integrated with their business system. The choice landed on pinDeliver.

Solution with pinDeliver

Today, pinDeliver is used for home deliveries to households in Östergötland, Sweden. GDL utilizes pinDeliver’s Hub app, where the terminal staff scans all packages, streamlining terminal operations. Once all packages for delivery are scanned in, pinDeliver’s office tool takes over, automatically planning and optimizing routes for all packages before delivering them to the customer.

“By using pinDeliver’s Hub app with scanning functionality, we have been able to save on a full-time position. The system has saved us a tremendous amount of time and money,” says John Jardman, Key Account Manager at GDL.

GDL also uses pinDeliver to communicate with its customers and send notifications.

”An essential and valuable feature for us is that pinDeliver provides us with a geographic position when the driver has called the customer or delivered the goods. It gives us and the customer reassurance that we have indeed been on site and done our job,” says John.
