Background and Challenge

Bra Möbler is a family-owned company that, with generations of knowledge and love for outdoor furniture, was founded in 1995 in Gothenburg. The company is the largest in Sweden for outdoor furniture, boasting over 30,000 products in its e-commerce platform. They operate several large warehouses throughout Sweden and have recently invested in expanding their online presence. In line with the growth of e-commerce, logistics and delivery are just a few of the areas where they have chosen to make significant investments.

“We were very early, already in 2006, to sell outdoor furniture through e-commerce, but it wasn’t until 2014 that the company initiated a major push into e-commerce. Today, more or less the entire operation is fully digitized, and substantial investments have been made in e-commerce and integrated systems,” says Simon Forslund.

However, with e-commerce comes increased customer demands, and it was in the pursuit of a more efficient in-house distribution that Bra Möbler came into contact with pinDeliver.

Solution with pinDeliver

In connection with this initiative, “delivery” became a crucial keyword for Bra Möbler. It marked the beginning of an effort in logistics and e-commerce, leading them to decide on upgrading their delivery systems. Customer experience, delivery times, and communication became increasingly vital, Simon Forslund explains. Meeting the demands of the digital customer with effective communication and integration, while gaining increased control, motivated Bra Möbler to engage pinDeliver.

“We wanted to invest even more in logistics and delivery, but the system we had before didn’t offer such great opportunities for good integrations, which was one of the reasons we chose to switch to pinDeliver,” says Simon Forslund

The question of integration is something Simon himself describes as an incredibly important aspect because it ensures that customers receive prompt, up-to-date information in a seamless manner. That’s the most crucial aspect, emphasizes Simon.

In spring 2022, Bra Möbler launched a new booking system for its e-commerce in collaboration with pinDeliver. The system is based on a well-planned geographical zone system, providing information about the days and times of deliveries to each respective zone. The booking, integrated with pinDeliver, displays the available capacity for each time window so that the customer sees real-time, updated data when placing an order. This allows customers to choose the delivery time directly when placing an order, based on information about whether a time window is available or not. Simon describes how, with the help of pinDeliver’s API, they almost never need to handle anything related to the booking manually. The automated solution allows customers to calmly book their delivery, while Bra Möbler has an overview and the ability to make adjustments if necessary.

”We have tested the automatic booking for a short period and already see significant advantages in how quickly our customers can get their deliveries, but also the fact that we don’t need labor to manage it.
